When I studied at NUS, I realised that I was not simply pursuing a degree. I was also learning to understand how an entire education system works. After graduation, I chose to remain in Singapore—not because Singapore is better than China, but because I felt that my understanding of this place was still far from complete.
Twenty years later, I still believe there is much more I can do. Every SQSP advisor is personally interviewed and trained by me. What I am most proud of is not the number of offers we have secured, but the fact that no one on this team treats their work as if they were simply processing documents on an assembly line.
Before joining SQSP, Professor Chiam spent many years at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He served as Deputy Director of the Alumni Relations Office and held administrative leadership roles at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and the National University Health System. His in-depth understanding of NUS administration, faculty management and student development enables him to advise students on programme selection and university planning from an institutional perspective.
During his time at the School of Public Health, he managed functions spanning human resources, health informatics, databases, laboratories and biobanks, information technology, campus safety, risk management and personal data protection. He brings extensive experience in public health, health sciences and university operations.
Aaron previously participated in admissions and application assessment at the National University of Singapore. His understanding of the selection criteria, admissions logic and decision-making priorities of Singapore's public universities enables him to help students build strategies from an institutional perspective.
A former Senior Technology Consultant at Accenture, he understands what international employers expect in candidates' capabilities and academic backgrounds. He helps students connect university applications and programme choices with their long-term career development.
Aaron has extensive study and living experience in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States and China, and has helped many students gain admission to Ivy League and other leading universities worldwide.
At SQSP, he oversees the full application process, including university positioning, application planning, essay guidance, scholarship applications, interview preparation and post-enrolment development advice.
Professor Goh is currently a professor at Nanyang Technological University and an adjunct lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts, bringing together experience in university teaching and arts education in Singapore.
He has long focused on developing artistic expression and confident communication in children and young people. Through visual arts, creative projects, performances and portfolio development, he helps students express themselves, communicate original ideas and build confidence.
Drawing on extensive experience in Singapore's arts education sector, he provides systematic guidance on university selection, programme choice, portfolio preparation and application planning, while helping students understand the differences between the Chinese and Singaporean arts education systems.
Professor Feng is Chief Data Scientist at the National University of Singapore, with his primary appointment at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. He has a strong research background at the intersection of artificial intelligence, healthcare data analytics and public health.
His research covers causal-inference-based evidence-based medicine, generative models for clinical time series, healthcare data analytics and the use of big-data technologies to address medical challenges.
Professor Feng completed advanced postdoctoral research with the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology programme and has been deeply involved in medical AI, health informatics and data science research. He helps students understand the actual curriculum and future pathways of AI, data science, bioinformatics and medical technology programmes.
Kin is an experienced public-speaking coach, communication expert and leadership trainer who specialises in public speaking, storytelling, confident communication and leadership development.
He has trained students, entrepreneurs and senior executives from around the world, and has delivered specialised programmes for multinational organisations including Google, Barclays, L'Oréal, FedEx, UPS, AIA, Citibank and Siemens.
A Distinguished Toastmaster, Kin has won Singapore championships in international speech, humorous speech and impromptu speaking. He represented Singapore twice at the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking, placing among the world's top eight.
At SQSP, he guides students in application strategy, essay storytelling, interview communication and personal narrative design, helping them present their strengths and growth journeys with clarity.
Justin is an ICF-certified career and leadership coach and the Managing Director of 8Hunters International. He brings extensive experience in talent management, career development and leadership development.
He previously held a core management role at a US technology start-up, leading a software engineering team of more than 70 people and supporting the company's rapid growth from an early-stage venture to an organisation of over 150 employees.
Justin has designed and facilitated leadership development programmes for international companies including BNP Paribas, Unilever, Sony, GSK, P&G and BASF. He understands what employers genuinely expect in professional capability, workplace readiness and leadership.
At SQSP, he advises students on career planning, internship direction, leadership development and employability, helping them translate academic strengths into sustainable long-term career advantages.
Raymond is a faculty member and lecturer at Singapore Management University with more than ten years of teaching and training experience across Asia. He is an experienced educator in finance, insurance, actuarial science and emerging risks.
He has taught intensive mathematics courses at ESSEC Business School, risk management at Singapore Management University and actuarial management-related courses at Nanyang Technological University.
His areas of expertise include enterprise risk management, actuarial pricing and reserving, risk capital frameworks, and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in insurance.
At SQSP, he guides students in STEM, mathematics, quantitative finance, actuarial science, risk management and scholarship applications, helping them understand programme requirements and future pathways.
SQSP’s office is located on the 22nd floor of Ngee Ann City. Looking out from the window, you can see Orchard Road. No one is late for our Tuesday morning case review—not because of a formal rule, but because everyone understands how important that hour is to every family.
We are not a company with a strong “team-building culture.” We do not organise many corporate events, require morning attendance check-ins, or cover the walls with motivational slogans. Instead, there is a quiet atmosphere of professionalism. Everyone knows what they are doing, why they are doing it, and whose life can be genuinely changed when the work is done well.
